Working from Home and Returning to the Office

Per President Gabel's Aug 24, 2020 message:  The Governor’s executive orders directing Minnesotans to work from home if they are able to do so remain in place.  At this time, the University is asking all employees who can work from home to continue doing so until the end of this calendar year (Dec. 31, 2020). While some employees have returned or still may need to return to their work spaces to complete their work—using guidance in the University’s Sunrise Plan—we expect that most employees continue to work from home. We will reevaluate this decision later this fall. If you are unsure of your work status, please contact your supervisor.  For more information see the University's Sunrise Plan.

Retirement Incentive Option 2020

The University will be offering a one-time opportunity for voluntary retirement for eligible employees who enroll by October 19, 2020, and retire by January 15, 2021. This program was developed as a cost savings strategy due to the impact of COVID-19 on the University budget and was approved by the Board of Regents at their July meeting. All benefits-eligible employees are receiving this notice, but you must meet the eligibility requirements to participate.
